This Week In Baseball- Phillies Edition

Leading Off
Its playoff time in the OMLB and it started with Albert ‘Tico’ Almora Jr going two for three with two home runs and four RBI to pull the New York Mets into the division series. In the AL the Tampa Bay Rays are off to the Division Series as they were led by center fielder Manuel Margot, who went 3-for-5 to pace his team to victory. They ousted the Toronto Blue Jays at Rogers Centre in the one-game Wild Card Game format. In the CEL, they are washing their uniforms and cutting the grass this week, as we look in on all that is happening in This Week in Baseball, Phillies Edition.

In the NL
The Office of the Commissioner has informed Johnny Rose and the Philadelphia Phillies organization that @Buck Showalter – Orioles and the Baltimore Orioles have claimed Dylan Stutsman. He cannot be taken off irrevocable waivers so he is now officially a Baltimore Oriole. The Phillies front office was shocked by this move.Johnny Rose had this to say, “I was shocked really. Wasn’t @Buck Showalter – Orioles the one that infamously put his team in cotton uniforms back in 1994. That guy has been making deals, not necessarily deal, deals but at least some kind of deals for years now. A deal is a deal and sometimes its not the best deal but its still a deal.” Get all the details on that deal here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-9ls-ugums

Around the AL
The Cleveland Guardians finished out of the playoffs this season. They were eleven games back in the Wild Card race and lost to the division leading Chicago White Sox by 25 games. It wasn’t however due to the lack of effort from Jose Ramirez their superstar third baseman. At age 29 Jose finished in the top  five of all players in the OMLB. He hit for a .303 average while slugging 32 homeruns and 109 RBI. What a great season for the extremely popular Dominican.

What the CEL!
