Philadelphia- Associated Press (AP) Earlier yesterday the Phillies new manager Johnny Rose traded away incumbent third baseman and rising star Alec Bohm. The Phillies received a package of three players including some salary which will give the manager more money to play with at the deadline.
In some circles the trade was reported as gross and on social media the fans defended their team expressing “cash is king” and “small market, small pockets”. Into this firestorm stepped Johnny Rose,
“I could Not be more proud of my team right now, and as much as I’ll miss this player, being together, on the field, at least, I can go to sleep knowing we’re all going to be okay.”
