Post all requests for using Achievement Points here: http://theomlb.net/forum/viewforum.php?f=24

Like with trades I'll process them and move them to the processed area and lock them.

I just wanted this thread to be where everybody could get a look at the system.

eddie can we put a cap on how high you can raise ticket prices? like you can only do it 2 or 3 or 4 times? because the ticket pricing in this game can be taken advantage of very easily

That was the point of only allowing an increase in ticket prices using Points. But please discuss I'm willing to add a cap if most feel it's needed. There's no urgency in installing a cap right away as I have the most points and could only use them to increase to $29 which wouldn't even be close to the highest price. So please discuss. I had the discussion thread up for a whole season with the suggestions, and no one raised the idea of a cap.

$35 is the cap we use in the NBL.

If you raise them too high then presumably no one will show up. Especially if the team is bad. So jack it up to $35 at your own risk.

cory that is what should happen. but the programming is not good when ticket prices are raised. Increasing prices by 50% oftentimes has practically no effect on demand for tickets. that's why we have ticket prices frozen in the first place

Max is correct. The logic doesn't work how it should which is why we froze ticket prices. I like giving a little of that control back to the gms by forcing them to earn points to raise prices. It means they have to participate. But I'm fine with the idea of a cap.

Raising the ticket prices isn't a bad thing. It's when you inflate them to something like $200 then the fans stop showing up and you can take advantage to the system since OOTP will always allow a minimum number of fans to show up.

This is why I loved Cory's idea for using points so much. We can keep increases measured. I absolutely think he should be able to raise ticket prices after winning a world series if he chooses to. Just not to an average of $50 from $25.

Maybe we can revisit this if we upgrade to 16, in the meantime though, I'm for the cap as well.

According to Gaffer who Beta tests. Markus hates financials as much as the rest of us. So don't hold your breath on that. Although he did say there will be some improvement.
