1. Cleveland Browns - QB Sam Darnold - USC

Tyrod is a good short term answer and worst case he balls out this year and can be flipped for more picks, but the Browns problem is very simple... they need a QB for the longterm. They continue to strikeout with each QB they run out there, but if they stop trying to get cute with it, they might find a longterm solution. This crop of QBs this year is not great, but I think Darnold has a chance to be special, along with maybe one or two other guys from this class. He's a gamer and with the success rate of QBs in the NFL, that will give him a better chance to be successful than most.

2. New York Giants - QB Josh Allen - Wyoming

With Darnold off the board I think Allen is the next best for the Giants. While Eli still has a few years in him he is already advanced in age and bringing in a young QB now to learn from that experience I believe is the key going forward. Allen has elite arm strength and could make full use of OBJ which Eli is finding harder to do with each passing year. Other considerations for this pick was highly touted running back Barkley for the giants and hope they can get a QB within the next few years to replace Eli.

With the third pick in Round 1 of the 2015 NFL Draft the New York Jets select...

QB Josh Rosen UCLA

Why: The Jets need a legit QB talent and Rosen fits the bill. AGAIN He has intangibles, intelligence, size, and physical tools. The question is health.

Who I think the Jets will actually take: QB Josh Rosen, because it's just a glaring need and he will be the best available, plus they gave up a lot in what was clearly a move for a QB.

Who I would take were I the one making the decision: Now that they made this trade, you have to take a QB. But they'd have one if they listened to me twice. I like Rosen most of this crew. I have them ranked Rosen-Mayfield-Darnold-Allen, and I wouldn't stress about losing out on Allen being from a school with such weak competition.I agree that Darnold has the highest ceiling but hey can't gamble here> Mayfield I'd be good with because he has the most heart. I also should note, I like the aggressiveness. However, I'm not as impressed by these guys as I was by Watson in college, not even close. Even Mariota I saw a little more. But considering what they gave up in that trade, you have to take Rosen. Frankly I wouldn't have made that trade. I would have kept the #6 pick or traded slightly down, and tried to acquire a second first rounder somewhere in the middle. I'd then have tried to land Nick Chubb (If Barkley is gone) and Lamar Jackson. I just don't see Jackson that far behind the rest.

Cleveland Browns are now on the clock...
